How To Darken an Ombré With Wella 8A Demi Permanent Hair Dye. Getting tired of your bleach blonde ombré? Scared that dying your hair even more will damage it?
Well, I’ve come up with a “demi permanent” solution 🙂 I love my ombré but it was just getting a little too blonde for me and I hate that stark contrast in my hair. Using a demi permanent hair dye adds color without damage as it is “deposit only” meaning that there isn’t any ammonia or peroxide that is used to open the cuticles of the hair (which is responsible for the damage you get using box dyes or bleach). However, as it is demi permanent it’ll eventually start to fade and you’ll have to dye it again. But buying your own dye and doing it yourself grossly outweighs the cost of getting it done at a salon!
If you want to “soften” your ombre choose a color that is 2-3 shades darker than you ombre color. If you want to try and “eliminate” your ombré choose a shade of color that is as dark as your roots. You won’t be able to completely eliminate your ombré (I’ll get into that in another video) but this should help you to get rid of that stark contrast from dark to blonde.
I bought everything at Sally’s and the hair dye I used is Wella Colorcharm Demi permanent hair dye in 8A-8-1 Light Ash Blonde
